Command Line Interface

To use InftyReader in the command line version, please add the path to the folder of InftyReader.exe in the environment variable “PATH”. The default path after the install of InftyReader is either…

  1. C:\Program Files\sAccessNet\InftyReader\bin
  2. C:\Program Files (x86)\sAccessNet\InftyReader\bin

…depending or your Windows OS. Please check it.

In the command-prompt, input the following command:

InftyReader [full path of the file/folder of files you wish to process]

Note: There is a space after the word “InftyReader”

Once this action is completed you will see the name of the file/folder recognized and processed by InftyReader followed by “.iml.” These files will be located in the same folder as the pre-processed files/folder. For example, if you want to OCR the file “sample1.tif” located in the “Samples” folder located within the “Infty” folder on drive “C,” you would use the following command prompt:

InftyReader C:\Infty\Samples sample1.tif

Note the space between “Samples” and “sample1.tif”. The processed file will be named “sample1.iml” and will be located in the “Samples” folder.

If you OCRing all the files in a folder, the name of recognized file is the folder’s name.

2. Outputting files in MathML, HTML, TeX, HRTeX or XML formats

You can generate output files, in iml, kml, tex, html, mathml, and hrtex formats by using the option “-f”. For example, if you want to generate a file in tex format, you should input the following command:

InftyReader C:\Infty\Samples sample1.tif -f tex

Note the spaces between “Samples,” “sample1.tif,” “-f,” and “tex.”
